Our extra-curricular highlights
Debating and public speaking
Any student in Years 3-6 with an interest in public speaking can join this program. Students take part in the state-wide competitions and become confident active speakers.
Arts and performance
Students can explore their talents by joining the school choir, performing in the Gunnedah Eisteddfod, and showcasing their creativity in the statewide Operation Art program. These and other opportunities help build confidence, encourage self-expression, and connect students with the community. Our school nurtures every student’s passion and love for the arts.
Lunchtime clubs
Students have the opportunity to participate in lunchtime clubs, run by teachers.
Some options include:
- dance
- knitting
- drama.
Sport
We offer a range of sports to cater to every student's interests and abilities. As well as regular sports days, we hold a variety of sports carnivals throughout the year. Eligible students participate in local and state (NSW) Primary School Sports Association (PSSA) Pathway to compete.
Academic and enrichment
Our students can join exciting events like the North West STEM Challenge Days and the NSW Premier’s Spelling Bee. These events help them learn new skills, show off their talents, and test their limits in a fun and friendly setting.
Cultural programs
At Boggabri Public School, students learn about Indigenous education. They celebrate cultural traditions and explore different practices. There are also many opportunities to actively take part in these experiences.
